Hi [Tenant First Name],
As your lease at [Property Address] ends on [Lease End Date], here’s a simple checklist to make vacating smooth and to help safeguard your bond. Keys hand-back: [Day, Date, Time | TBC]. Exit inspection: [Day, Date, Time | TBC].
Please complete before hand-back:
Kitchen & appliances: oven, cooktop, rangehood filters, fridge space, cupboards (inside/out).
Bathrooms & laundry: grout, glass, mirrors, drains, mould spots, lint traps.
Floors & surfaces: vacuum, mop, skirting, window tracks, blinds, light fittings, fans.
Walls/doors: remove marks where safe; repair approved hooks only.
Windows & screens: inside/out where accessible.
Rubbish removal: bins emptied (bin day [Day]), no items left on site.
Outdoor areas: [Lawn/Garden/Weeds/Pool tasks].
Carpets: [If Yes → Professional clean required; keep tax-invoice].
Pets: [If Yes → Flea treatment per agreement; keep invoice].
Furnished items: [If Yes → Clean, dust, and replace to inventory position].
Before leaving, please arrange any final utility meter reads, provide your forwarding address and bank details (if needed for refunds), and return all keys/remotes/fobs ([# keys]/[# remotes]/[# fobs]) labelled in one envelope.
I’ve attached [Exit checklist PDF] and [Approved suppliers] to save time. For local requirements, please refer to [State/Territory RTA] and your tenancy agreement.
If times are TBC, kindly propose two windows for keys hand-back and inspection.
Thank you for your cooperation—reach out if you need help.
Kind regards,
